Sea kayaking along the Atlantic coastline of Cape Town should be on your bucket list, irrespective of whether you live in Cape Town or if you are visiting our beautiful city.

This is by far the best way to explore the magnificent Cape Town coastline. Cape Town also known as “The mother city” has two coastlines – The Atlantic Seaboard (accessible via V&A Waterfront and Sea Point) and the False Bay coast (around Simons Town).

Let us take you on a kayaking journey along the Atlantic Seaboard with Waterfront Kayak.

What to carry with you:

  • Sunglasses
  • Sun hat
  • Apply sunblock prior to going on the kayak
  • A towel
  • A change of clothes
  • Wear comfortable, quick drying clothes as you are sure to get a little wet.

Kayaking along the Atlantic Seaboard is the most fun way to be immersed in nature, with views that are truly picture perfect. Depending on the time of the year you do this activity, you will be able to see dolphins and seals as well as some bird life and even a shipwreck. All while having the perfect view of the iconic Table Mountain.

One of my main fears I had before I kayaking was, “What if my kayak topples over”. If you have this same fear, rest assured that your kayak has very little, actually a close to 0% chance of toppling over. So let me dismantle that fear for you and rather encourage you to give it a try, you won’t regret it.
