No Music Policy in Content Creation

Halaal Travels is a brand that is committed to Islamic ethics and principles, and as such we do not include music in any of visual, audio, or digital content. This decision is based on the following reason:
Islamic Guidance
In Islam, the majority of scholars — particularly from the Hanafi, Hanbali, and Shafi’i schools of thought hold the view that music (especially musical instruments) is discouraged or prohibited. This is based on the authentic Hadith:
“There will be among my Ummah people who will deem as permissible: fornication, silk (for men), alcohol and musical instruments.”
— Sahih al-Bukhari (5590)
Although there are differing views, especially on vocals and percussion (like the duff), the Halaal Travels brand chooses to follow the more cautious approach out of respect for Islamic boundaries.
Alternative Options Exist
There are beautiful and permissible alternatives, such as:
- Nature sounds
- Nasheeds (Islamic songs) without instruments
- Voice-over storytelling
These methods allow our brand to create impactful content without compromising on our religious values.
The Halaal Travels audience includes Muslims who value content that aligns with Islamic teachings. Avoiding music is part of building a platform of trust and spiritual responsibility, where viewers can feel confident that the media they consume from any of the Halaal Travels platforms is free of doubtful or impermissible elements. To the best of our knowledge.
