Why should someone go for a women’s only retreat?
1. Safe and Supportive Environment:
A women’s-only retreat provides a safe space where women can gather, share, and connect without the presence of men. This environment fosters a sense of trust and support, allowing participants to open up and engage in discussions that may be more sensitive or personal.
2. Empowerment and Personal Growth:
Women’s retreats often focus on empowering participants and promoting personal growth. Through activities, and discussions, women can explore their strengths, identities, and goals, leading to increased self-confidence and self-awareness.
3. Sisterhood and Camaraderie:
Women’s retreats offer an opportunity to form deep and meaningful connections with other women. Sharing experiences, challenges, and aspirations with like-minded individuals can lead to the formation of lifelong friendships and a strong support network.
4. Self-Care and Relaxation:
Women’s retreats often include activities that promote self-care and relaxation. Participants can engage in yoga, meditation, massages, and other rejuvenating practices, providing a chance to recharge and prioritize their well-being.
5. Community and Connection:
Women’s retreats create a sense of community and belonging among participants. Being surrounded by other women with similar interests and experiences can foster a feeling of being understood and accepted.
6. Reconnecting with Nature:
Many women’s retreats take place in natural and tranquil settings, providing an opportunity to reconnect with nature. Spending time in nature can be rejuvenating and grounding, promoting a sense of peace and balance.
7. Escape from Daily Routine:
Retreats offer a break from the demands of everyday life. They provide a chance to step away from responsibilities, routines, and stressors, allowing participants to focus on their own needs and personal growth.
8. Inspiration and Renewed Focus:
Being in a supportive and empowering environment can inspire participants and renew their focus on their goals and aspirations. Women often leave retreats feeling motivated and ready to take on new challenges in their lives. In summary, a women’s-only retreat can be a transformative experience. Providing a nurturing and empowering environment for personal growth, connection, and self-care. It allows women to take a step back from their daily lives, gain new perspectives, and return with a renewed sense of purpose and empowerment.
Why should someone attend a retreat organised by you?
The Story of Halaal Sisters Retreat “Unite, Connect and Recharge at a Halaal Sisters Retreat!” Halaal Sisters Retreat was founded in 2023 by Waheedah Dien. She realized that women want (and need) the time and space to push pause on their daily routine.
This has been an ongoing passion project of Waheedah’s for a few years, and finally she has the time to pursue her dream of organising and hosting women-only retreats. Her vision is to create a community of women to get together and reconnect with themselves in a beautiful and serene atmosphere without being judged.
Joining one of Halaal Sisters Retreats is an opportunity for women to come together and relax, rejuvenate, and explore the world. Led by Waheedah, a marketing professional, mother, and lover of travel. She aims to provide an enriching experience that will stay with you long after the retreat has ended.
Together, you will be visiting some of the most beautiful destinations around the world, exploring hidden gems, experiencing new cultures and climate, and bonding with each other. Whether you’re looking for a supportive community or an enriching experience, she invites you to join her on this unique journey.
An opportunity for women to come together and relax, rejuvenate and take time for self-care practices. The main objective is to provide a space for women to take a break from the hustle and bustle of daily life and focus on themselves. It should be a time for self-reflection and an opportunity to engage fully in the present, reset the mind and reduce stress induced circumstances whatever that may be.
Tell us about yourself
I love seeking out adventure and exploring new places. I am a certified freediver and during office hours I am a marketing professional. I have been shark cage diving, crocodile cage diving, swam with dolphins, hiked an active volcano and over the years convinced my husband to take some seriously last minute adventures with me and our two boys.
Finding off-the-beaten path experiences is something that I am good at and thoroughly enjoy. Needless to say, I have thoughtfully curated the activities to ensure our participants have a valuable and meaningful experience. In the past few years, I have been drawn to allowing myself to live rather than just exist. I believe women do not get the opportunity to ‘switch off’ and relax without thinking about the needs of their loved ones. School runs in the mornings, lunch boxes, pick-ups, play dates, sports, all of these are essential to providing a loving home. However, it is also important to take a step back, and take care of one’s own physical and mental health in order to be fully present.
I am very excited about starting this journey with Halaal Sisters Retreat. It has been a dream of mine for years and having the opportunity to host and arrange women-only retreats is a dream come true! Alhamdulillah.

A truly inspiring retreat. The retreats are designed to help you let go of all the “women things “that women do.
It helps one share common experiences and find common solutions. Definitely a “go to” place for any woman who seeks to find inner peace.
The inaugural Recharge in Zanzibar Retreat was an incredible experience. Meeting ladies and developing a bond through the activities and shared experiences was amazing. The retreat was well organised, flexibility in the activities available and excellent accommodation and meal services. Waheedah was available to assist with any information and requests and always had a smile and warmth that was enduring for all. A pleasant getaway and time well spent with likeminded and empowered women.
