Someone asked us why we don’t write more about our own personal journeys. It’s a fair question, after all, travel is what inspired us to build Halaal Travels in the first place.
The truth is, we never wanted this platform to be about us.
Our Intention From the Beginning
When we founded Halaal Travels, our goal was clear: to create a space for Muslims everywhere to find inspiration, guidance, and genuine recommendations for their travel and lifestyle. We wanted to shine the spotlight on the community, not on ourselves as individuals.
Why We Held Back
Early on, we noticed that when we did share our personal travels and insights, people became more curious about our journey than about the broader mission. The focus started shifting towards us as founders and we didn’t want that.
We knew if Halaal Travels became too centered on our lives, it might limit the vision. Our mission was always bigger:
- A platform where Muslim voices from everywhere could be heard.
- A trusted resource not dependent on the founding team, but on a growing community.
- A place where authentic experiences and reviews matter more than personal popularity.
What We Chose Instead
So, we made a decision:
- To step back from the spotlight.
- To build Halaal Travels around your stories, your reviews, your recommendations.
- To grow a platform that belongs to all Muslims, not just the founders of Halaal Travels.
Looking Ahead
That does not mean we will never share our own travels again, sometimes our personal story can inspire others. But it will never be the main focus. Our intention remains the same: to keep Halaal Travels about the community, not about us. Because at the end of the day, this platform is not our personal blog. It’s a movement to make travel easier, more accessible, and more rewarding for our Global Muslim Ummah. Inshallah
