Where can I see the whales from land viewing points?
- Cliff Path: The Cliff Path is a scenic walkway along the coastline, offering fantastic views of Walker Bay. There are designated whale-watching benches and lookout points along the path where you can stop to see the whales.
- Sievers Point: Sievers Point is a popular whale-watching spot located near the Old Harbour in Hermanus.
- Gearing’s Point: Gearing’s Point is another whale-watching location situated near the Old Harbour.
- Voëlklip Beach: Voëlklip Beach is a beautiful sandy beach in Hermanus that also offers good whale-watching opportunities.
- Fernkloof Nature Reserve: The Fernkloof Nature Reserve offers several hiking trails with stunning views of Walker Bay. While hiking in the reserve, keep a lookout for the whales in the bay below.
