Departure: 14th February
On the 15th February the flight lands.
- Explore the airport, The Jewel-Terminal 1 Rain Vortex. At 40 meters tall, it is the largest indoor waterfall in the world. It’s located at Jewel Changi, attached to the Terminal 1 building, after immigration not before. Easily accessible on foot from Terminal 2 or 3. Leave your bags at Left Baggage counters and be free to explore Jewel. This payable service is available at Level 1 of Jewel and operates 24 hours a day- free airport tour.

Terminal 2: Level 2, Transit Area, (between Transfer Lounge F and Skytrain to Terminal 3). Terminal 3: Level 2, Transit Area (near Transfer Lounge A and Gate A1–A8). The Free Singapore Tour booths are open daily. The operating hours for the booths are:
* Terminal 2 booth: 7:00 AM–6:15 PM
* Terminal 3 booth: 7:00 AM–6:30 PM
– Other Terminals: Take the sky train within the Transit area and proceed to Terminal 3 for registration. If we are too tired can do this onroute to Langkawi. - Taxi to hotel – approximately 20 mins – leave luggage and freshen up or check in depending on time we get there.
- Get a sim.
- Head out to Haji Lane and Sultan /Kampong Glam /Bugis area (good for food). 5 mins walk to Hawker food court.
- Back to hotel at 3/4pm for a break.
- Evening: Waterfront Promenade – 20 min walk or by bus (takes the same amount of time) & food
- Supertree grove night show at 7.45 and 8.45 (free)
16th February
- Gardens by the Bay, Cloud Forest, Flower dome, Supertree grove (get tickets from the kiosk), Skywalk, Singapore flyer ferris wheel, 5 min walk to the Art science museum, Marina Bay Sands sky park, Merlion park (free) 20 min walk, maybe Botanical gardens.
- Evening: watch Marina Bay light show and get food.
17th February
- Little India – 10 mins walk from hotel.
- Jummah at Sultan Mosque.
- After Jummah: selfie coffee️ at Haji Lane (need to try this, get a coffee with photo on cup).
- China Town: visit The Buddha Tooth Relic Temple Museum in Chinatown (free).
- Maxwell food centre for lunch.
- Night zoo safari.
- Boat/Clarke Quay for food.
- Try food from the Singaporean hawker centres (these are open air food courts).
- Transport = Grab taxi, metro/train (can purchase daily tickets), public Wi-Fi everywhere. Buy 3 day tourist pass for unlimited public transport travel or ez link card. Train metro systems are good.
- Sim from local shop, not the airport.
- Bugis street market cheap items food/souvenirs.
- Optional activities: Sentosa Island, Universal Studios, Jurong Bird park (Strict rules to be followed otherwise can get a hefty fine – no chewing gum – smoking/spitting).
Food
- Murtabak is pan-fried bread filled with meat and topped with curry sauce. Enjoy some at Singapore Zam Zam restaurant (opposite Sultan Mosque).
- Cendol is an iced sweet dessert that contains droplets of green rice flour jelly, coconut milk and palm sugar syrup.
- In Little India, go to the ground floor of the Tekka Centre where you find a large selection of reasonably priced halal food like breyani, curries and dosas.
- If you pass the Tekka Centre and continue into the heart of Little India, you will find lots of halal curry houses, vegetarian restaurants and fast food outlets.
- Visit a food court (Lau Pa Sat, Satay By The Bay, Old Airport Road, Chinatown Complex).
- Safe to drink tap water.
18th February
- Flight to Langkawi.
- Leave hotel at 7-7:30. Taxi from airport to hotel. Check in, orientation & purchase SIM card – there are 4 major operators in Malaysia: Celcom (Xpas) and Maxis (Hotlink) have the highest coverages (country-wide) but higher prices, while DiGi and U Mobile have more limited coverage but cheaper prices.
19th February
- Oriental Village going to Panorama Cable Car & Sky Bridge (to book).
- Seven Wells Waterfall (this is a short walk from the village).
- Field of Burnt Rice for food.
- Sunset cruise (need to book 5pm sharp departure).
20th February
- Mangrove Tour (includes lunch) (to book 5+ hours).
- Evening sunset on the beach.
21st February
- Beach day and explore local area.
- Eagle Square- ( in Kua- ) and Maha tower.
- Maybe Langkawi day cruise or underwater world.
- Evening meal from Kua night market.
- Mode of transport is Grab Car, or private driver, no public transport.
- Be careful of monkeys on the island. They can be mischievous and run away with belongings.
- Optional activities: Islam hopping tour.
22nd February
- Pack/chill.
- Check out and flight to KL at 15:25.
- Check in KL and orientate.
23rd February
- Petronas Towers & sky bridge viewpoint.
- The Saloma Link Bridge is just a five minute walk northwest of the Petronas Towers (book tickets in advance).
- KLCC park – can access downtown Bukit Bintang from the Petronas Towers via the undercover pedestrian walkway, which is an attraction in itself!
- KL Tower – features two solid glass viewing boxes perilously perched over the edge over 1300 meters above the ground.
- Time Square – KLCC park (8 mins walk).
24th February
- Putra Mosque in Putrajaya for Jummah – May not accommodate women praying – ( 1 hour 30 mins away). Get train from KL central (get the transit train not the express) and then explore Putrajaya lake/botanical gardens in the area.
- Afternoon KL Bird Park (depending on time) or KL Tower and Upside down house.
25th February
- Downtown KL,
- Batu Caves,
- China Town,
- Hall Guan di Temple,
- Petaling of Street,
- Mercedes square,
- Little India,
- Evening: Lake Symphony. Freshen up and head to KLCC Park. Lake Symphony just outside the shopping mall in front of the Petronas a light show every night the lake is host to a music and light fountain show.
26th February
- Overnight trip to Malacca (early start to the day). Takes 2 hours 45 mins to get there. This is one of Malaysia’s most historic cities, and here you can trace the evolution of Malacca from a small fishing village, to a Portuguese, Dutch, then British trading port.
- Explore the old ruined churches and forts before spending the afternoon wandering through the UNESCO World Heritage Site that covers many of the old streets of the city, including the famous Jonker Street.
- Harmony street where all 3 different religions live side by side – Masjid Cina Negeri Melaka (Al Muttaqin) -Temple Chinese & Hindu – go on observation tower.
- Places to visit: Red square, St Paul hill, Straits Mosque, Flor de lar mar maritime museum, Kampung Kling mosque, Chong Hoong Chen temple, Ma – river cruise, Jonker walk after in the evening.
– in Malacca they only take cash.
27th February
- Back from Malacca National Mosque (Masjid Negara).
- Merdeka Square: (20min walk from hotel). Sultan Abdul Samad Building, Masjid Jamel, Merdeka Square comes from its name: ‘merdeka’ means ‘freedom’ and it was here that Malaysians raised their flag to proclaim independence!
- Central market.
28th February
- Patrons towers.
- Genting Highland Half day tour.
- Old Railway station.
- The Islamic Museum – opposite the National Mosque/James mosque in the Botanical gardens of KL.
- Merdeka Square after 5pm – eat in this area.
1st March
- Late start to the day.
- Islamic Arts Museum Malaysia.
- Jamek Mosque – or just chill
2nd March
- Pack.
- Check out 12pm.
- Leave luggage in hotel and have a wander in local area/food.
- Taxi for airport at 4pm.
–Optional activities: KL Forest Eco Park, National Museum, National Mosque of Malaysia, Hop on Hop off bus, Central Market, Kuala Lumpur Tower (revolving restaurant at the top), Petaling Street markets, Golden Triangle, National Zoo, Istana Nagara (kings palace), KL upside down house, Thean Hou Temple.
Food

- Sample the street food in the market on Lorong Tuanku Abdul Rahman.
- In KL, Kampong Baru area night food selection there is fantastic. Near a Mosque – masjid jamek kampung baru, food stalls in abundance (all local food) and you can take a short stroll afterwards to cross the Saloma Bridge.
- Traditional food – Nasi lemek -roti cani with daal.
- Alor Street is near the hotel, good for food.
- Jalan alor is a night food market. This has limited halal food places.
- Halal food at Japan Bukit Batang, Jalan Sultan Ismail & Lot 10 shopping mall.
- Safe to drink tap water – recommended to drink bottled water.
- Teh Tarik (traditional tea).
- Durian (fruit only available in Malaysia – smelly).
- Intermark food court near KLCC.
Transport:
- Uber/Lyft/Grab.
- Good public transport.
- Free bus service called GoKL.
- Purchase Touch & Go card for travel (available at most train stations). Trains more efficient than buses – buses/trains do not run past midnight. GoKL free buses, 4 lines, website GOKL.COM.LY . When getting on and off any local transport, especially when busy be aware of pickpockets.
– carry tissues/toilet paper. Public toilets don’t have toilet paper.
